NOTE: THE EXCURSION (reckoned to be among the best of Morris Cox’s novels), was completed in 1928, and was only released in 1985 in an edition of 5 copies for the Gogmagog Photocopy Library. By this time, Cox was treating the photocopier as a means of producing original prints, not merely as a means of reproduction. This frontispiece is an example of this type of work. All prints made in this manner are signed and dated, as any other original work of art. |
